Golden Night at the Oscars

I'm pretty sure that most of you are watching the Oscars tonight, so I truly hope you are enjoying the red carpet fashions.  There are so few events when it's not only appropriate but absolutely expected that you wear a full length evening gown; pageants, award shows, the opera/theatre, and possibly a formal evening wedding, can you really think of any other time?
