Blueacre Brunch & ECCC

If you haven't had the chance to get to Blueacre  for Brunch, or really any meal, go NOW.  We try to make it every Sunday (happy hour all day is a pretty good reason) and the food is nothing short of the best you'll have in Seattle.  Executive Chef & Owner Kevin Davis has turned the former Oceanair space into a bright & cheerful place to experience a meal.

We've been for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner & Happy Hour and can honestly say that I've never been even slightly disappointed at anything on the menu (which changes all the time, btw, so if you see a must have, get it!  You might not see it tomorrow)  In true Northwest Brunch Style, my friend Stephanie & I split a dozen Oysters:

During Happy Hour, only $1 each, BEST deal in Seattle
Fresh Squeezed juice is the secret to a great cocktail
We try to bring all our out-of-town friends to Blueacre for a true taste of the best the Northwest has to offer and always been happy we did.

Speaking of the Northwest, you probably knew that this weekend was Emerald City ComiCon (ECCC), and if not, here's some pictures of the amazing lengths true fans will go to; it's actually pretty impressive.
1. Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy
2. Storm Troopers. On an Escalator
3. I have no clue, but all the blue parts lit up, really impressive
4. The Incredibles
5. Jay & Silent Bob
I wish that the pics of a really convincing Batman hadn't turned out blurry (truly looked like Michael Keaton walked off the set) We found all this great cosplay without even going into the event itself, just wandering around the Convention Center.

Golden Tidbit:

The best way to eat Oysters?  With a Golden cocktail fork of course! This 6 piece set of Gold plated Cocktail forks is a steal for just $14.95 (Amazon)

Golden Quote: "He was a bold man that first ate an oyster." - Jonathan Swift
